GISMOS_08 - WORKIN'MAN

Since were not in the industry as working game pros we can only speak for our experiences as adult gamers. From our perspective were the 'workin'mans gamer- experts in our own rights, which we're not exactly proud of - but content with the understanding that it's an unavoidable pass time for us. Working man is a title which affords us the right to comment and criticize other peoples hard work (as custodians of our own opinions) with a great approximate knowledge of many  things within the video game realm.

This week Kevin tests the waters of video game piracy - whether or not Black Beard is rolling (or swimming) in his grave or raising his glass to the 'lifestyle' is yet to be determined. Pete asks if the term RPG  is relevant anymore, and i wonder if there are too many video games these days.

What do you lovely people think? Comments and questions please!

GISMOS_07 - WOWAHOLICS

This week we invited a good friend of ours to the show to share some personal historical struggles with World of Warcraft. Tyler Goesen. Jordan takes a break from flipping burgers and re-joins the Gismo crew. Overwatch beta is back and the Goose is all over it. Jordan gets real personal and Tristan attempts to hold it all together and not choke on his coffee.

Were working the new 'format' into the show this time with as few hiccups as possible. Listen, enjoy, leave comments and don't be shy, it wont get you very far.

Games covered this week:

Overwatch, Helldivers, Witcher 3, The Witness, Year Walk, WoW,

ITS STILL FUNNY

NEWS FLASH,

Breaking information is revealing that watching people fall down still causes laughter. This is the definitive edition of Blanka ruining peoples day and in a few cases irrevocably ruining their lives. It's not a new video but that doesn't mean its not fabulous, and we don't throw that word around a lot. If you look a bit closer, a lot of work was put into this which makes us laugh all the louder. Some of those Blanka animations were created from scratch, and none of this would have worked unless the timing in the editing was surgical. For what its worth Evade Gismo gives this video the funniest seal of approval we can possibly muster...

GISMOS_05 - H8TFL8, NX, THE STATE OF RTS AND GAME TRAILERS

This week we begin with a Hateful 8 non-spoilery discussion with some award show thoughts mixed in as well. Kevin holds his Nintendo allegience hostage. Pete wonders what happened to the RTS format and i question the art of the video game trailer.

We've been kicking around some ideas for a better and richer podcast that would involve a different kind of review format so hang in there. Also, trying not to sound like jackasses is pending further conversation.

EVADE GISMOS FAVORITES OF 2015

2015 happened, whether we wanted it to or not, for better or worse it's finally reached the pinnacle of its decadence and is ready to die. Happy new year you wannabe christians (following this particular calendar year), its time to reflect on where we spent our time and what ended up being worth all of the whiles.

Myself and my little brother transcended drunken promises into a literal website that we are both quite proud of. At the very least it's given us excuses to hang out together and play video games for a greater cause. We started a podcast because its easier than writing. We destroyedall the online hurdles that got in our way and leveled up in our writing game. It was a good year and we want to thank you all for spending your precious time with us. We've said it before and well say it again so don't go rolling your eyes.

Podcasting is not as easy as assumed. Talking about something your passionate about doesn't seem like work. Until you revisit a seemingly cohesive and reasonable conversation of yourself you can not understand how hot the threshold of hell can become. I sound like a whiny idiot who has no clue what hes talking about. My own voice cuts through me like a rusty dentist drill. When i speak- i fill the air with run on sentences. If i played a drinking game for every time i said "uh, ummm, like" id be dumpster drunk in 10 minutes. Editing the podcast caused me to approach my wife; shake her asking "I feel like i'm Hugh Grant! Tell me i'm not Hugh Grant...tell me im not a bumbling idiot!" She told me so and i didn't feel any better about myself. "Just keep doing it" i say, "it'll all fall into place and if i keep listening to myself talk ill learn why i sound stupid."

Point is here's a new podcast and thank you.
